Great fish and chips. Their tacos are okay. The view is amazing.
Clam chowder, scallops, fried seafood combo, squid steak, and the bay shrimp and crab cocktail are all great! The side potato salad is excellent too!
Recommended!! Good food, good price, great view!!
Fave: fish sandwich, grilled swordfish, fish & chips
Best seafood and overall restaurant on that side on the PCH. Had to park across the Highway. The road cris cross of death.
Well, that was UNDERWHELMING... We just left here and i am beyond disappointed. I was sure i found a great spot to cure my hunger based on all these '5 star reviews'. I'm starting to wonder about those. I would have given 2 stars but the husband suggested i add on the extra star. We ordered the 3 fish and fries, fish taco, and a tilapia plate. The fish (and fries) and the taco was BLAND. No taste at all! I enjoyed the steak cut fries. My husbands cajun tilapia was decent. He ordered rice and a garden salad as his sides. The rice was tasty but i wouldn't recommend the garden salad. Interestingly, the tilapia was placed on a leaf of romaine lettuce yet the garden salad was nothing but cut up iceberg lettuce and 3 pieces of purple cabbage. #fail I would go into details about everything else (ambiance etc) but it doesn't matter. I definitely will not be a returning customer.
Cool place, long wait in line to order. Seating patio overlooking the ocean... beautiful. We ordered the fish and chips of course.... amazing!!! Words can't even describe how awesome it was. I also ordered the clam chowder in a sourdough bread bowl. The bread was good but as good as the real sourdough you get in San Francisco's and the chowder was mediocre... nothing special about it. We parked on the side of the street to avoid waiting for a parking space in the parking lot because it's a very high volume place with limited parking space. You cane make a day out of it in Malibu by crossing over to the beach.

Don't believe the hype. The fried fish rectangle is good, but I'm not sure what kind of fish it is; wild or farmed. The ahi burger is not at all what you think it is, and it wasn't good. It's a cooked piece of shredded ahi probably with flour and egg, not your typical ahi burger that I'm used to where you get a niece piece of fresh ahi. The fries are okay, but very hard to digest. The crab and shrimp salad was good. And finally the cole slaw had sugar in it. We will never go back here nor would we recommend it. It's good for fried fish and probably for picking up your fresh fish for home, which we did not do. And also the Etxea bread is a good sourdough bread, but nothing that you would actually find in the Basque Country as sourdough does not exist there.
Wow, I gotta say, this place was packed on a Saturday afternoon! I came here close to 4pm and my buds and I waited for about 20 minutes in line to order. But once you order, the service is quick. I got the 2 piece fish and chips and split the half pound of raw oysters. There 6 half oyster shells for $14.95. As for the 2 piece fish and chips, it was $11.95. The fish looked more rectangular and cube like rather than the standard filet but that didn't take away from the taste. The batter on the fish was flaky and crunchy and it came with a hefty bed of steak fries. I also tried some of my friend's jumbo shrimp cocktail and it was delicious! The homemade cocktail sauce was a bit too peppery. I would recommend using the sauce from the oysters if possible. The menu is pretty extensive and even offers steamed shellfish, fish plates, and side dishes such as coleslaw, potato salad, and crab salad. Ketchup and napkin dispensers are outside for your convenience. There is plenty of outdoor seating on either side of the restaurant and a bathroom in the corner of the parking lot. This joint is right across the street beach and is absolutely gorgeous at sunset. You might even see some pups here too! There is an $8 parking fee for the restaurant lot but you can find free parking close by along the highway. Just make sure to check which sections you can't park in as there are some no parking signs.
Amazing food and a great view, can't beat that! This is a casual place with a scenic view of the ocean. The lines are very long but they move pretty quick. It is outdoor seating so be sure to look at the weather before heading out there. The clam chowder is AMAZING, they serve it in a delicious bread bowl and is a very generous serving size! They also sell things like crab, lobster, fried shrimp or fried fish. It is worth the wait!

My go to classic place to go to with friends or with a special date. I went with my friend tonight. It was traffic on PCH, but going here tonight on a cold night, was not too bad! Maybe because the sun was already gone???? We sat in the indoor section and that is where it was very crowded. Could not find parking in the lot so I had to park on PCH, but not too far. This place is always jam packed, but lucky we did not have to go in a crazy line. I had a lunch special which cost $30, opted for the clam chowder as a side, and fries. My friend got the special also but a different fish. The topping was fabulous! I got a cookie sandwich dessert and it was yummy. We both had some beer, but next time we may go for nicer wine! This place is truly the best place to go to when you just want to chill and forget about all your cares! I am a regular and I just can't get enough. I might come back again tomorrow and maybe Monday again LOL ;-) I am a loyal fan and I want to try other things on the menu, that's for sure.
This is my fav fish n chips in so cal. Great steamers, chowder, and ice cream sandwiches!
Fish tacos were great and so fresh. Two are enough to be full Amazing vibe with a view of the beach from the patio. Customer service was great as well. Plenty of parking along PCH if the lot is full.
Amazing fresh seafood, relaxed vibes, awesome views, and a nice ocean breeze. This is my favorite place to come and get delicious seafood with family, friends, or a significant other. I usually come on the weekends around dinner time and have to wait in line less than 20 minutes to order. I am also always lucky enough that I find parking in their lot but if you can't you can park on PCH. You seat yourself and there are plenty of open tables on the ground level or you can go to the north of where they serve food, to tables nestled a little into the cliffs that provide an even better view. Once you go in and order they will give you one of those buzzers and when your food is ready you go to the window on the side of the building to pick it up. The place is BYOB and my go-to thing is some chilled white wine. Make sure to bring your own cups and bottle opener, or just find another friendly patron and ask them to borrow theirs. Seafood combo: Deep fried deliciousness. The fish is fried to crispy perfection and is moist and flakey on the inside. It doesn't have an oily or fishy smell to it. The shrimp, scallops, and squid are done just right. This comes with tasty French fries, tartare sauce, and shrimp cocktail sauce. They also give you lemon slices and you can always ask for more if you are like me and love to drown your seafood in it. I usually get this to share and it fills me up. Clam chowder: Very good. If you are a chowder fan I would recommend getting this! Grilled dinners: I have had the Mahi Mahi, Halibut, and Seabass and was never disappointed. All of the fish are grilled nicely so they aren't too dry and they come with 2 sides. I normally green salad and baked potatoes or French fries. Bread: They make freshly baked bread that comes with butter and it is really amazing! You can get it as an extra side or get a roll to take back home with you, either way, you won't regret it. Ahi Tuna Burger: Had this based on a recommendation from a friend who states it's his favorite dish on the menu but to me it feel short of amazing. Flavors were pretty bland, and the grilled ahi tuna just didn't taste good to me. Protip: If you come with another person one should go order and the other one should hunt down/ wait for the tables with the nice views to open up.
We've eaten here twice and what we did have was real good. The Fried fish pieces were good but just a bit greasier than I like (not super greasy though!). Andria's in Ventura still has the best as far as that goes. The Ahi burger was really good, a great flavor and especially with a little tartar thrown on it. The fries are killer! They are the the thick cut ones and they give you a ton! Fish tacos were kinda lacking flavor but definitely not bad. Love the BYOB idea. We were staying at the Malibu RV park which sits just above the restaurant and its a quick walk down the dirt path and your there with your beers in hand :) None of the fish tasted fishy at all...super fresh.

Located conveniently at the trailhead of the Corral Canyon hike, there was little option but to come through for a nice meal after 1.5 hours of hiking in the California sun. Though it was almost 5pm, the winter sun was already setting and we had not eaten before hiking. So, we split the ahi tuna platter, mussels, and a clam chowder between the three of us. Located right off the Pacific Ocean, one would expect the seafood to be of the highest quality and freshness. If it was I could not taste it. The tuna was fine, but nothing to write home about. The mussels were small and half of the shells were empty. The clam chowder was decidedly average. It is notable that even after a tiring hike I was barely satisfied at the end of the meal. The best things we ate were the coleslaw and potato salad accompanying the tuna. At least the view of the sunset was nice.
We love this place, what a great slice of Malibu/Americana. Delicious grilled and fried seafood right off the 1, with amazing views of the cliffs and beaches in Malibu and it's reasonably priced. I'm not sure what more you can possibly ask for. We loved: the fish tacos, ahi tuna burger, fried calimari and their perfect French fries. I can't think of a more perfect casual lunch spot in Malibu, or as a lunch pit stop between LA and Santa Barbara.
